Singapore-based entertainment and lifestyle company Zouk Group has officially reopened Capital, one of its nightclubs at CQ @ Clarke Quay, following its closure in January for a two-month revamp.

This marks the first milestone in a multimillion-dollar refurbishment of all of Zouk’s Singapore club venues — Capital, Zouk Mainroom and Phuture — along with cocktail bar RedTail, which the company announced at the start of the year.

Andrew Li, CEO of Zouk Group, adds that the revamped club offers a preview of the group’s reinvention. “Our Singapore clubs and F&B venues at Clarke Quay will be completely transformed by mid-year.”

Helmed by Josh Held Design, a New York-based design firm, the renovated Capital retains the club’s distinctive glowing island bar at the centre of the space. However, it now features a new state-of-the-art surround-sound system, along with a private karaoke room equipped with a dry bar for personal bartender service. The room can accommodate groups of up to 25 people.

The venue’s interiors have also been refreshed, featuring gold accents and trimmings, along with new sofas and tables. The nightclub can accommodate 542 guests across its two rooms.

According to the release, Capital’s grand reopening on March 12 featured guests from Singapore’s social and creative industries, including Singaporean radio DJ Germaine Leonora and actors David Matthew and Raynold Tan. The star-studded event also featured a contemporary lion dance, while Zouk’s resident DJs, Rattle and Gainzter, curated the music for the night.

To celebrate its reopening, Capital will feature themed Saturday nights over the next month. SURGE brings festival-style EDM, EDITION delivers throwback R&B and hip-hop, GLAM spotlights local all-female DJs alongside ladies-only perks, and TOTAL RECALL rounds things off with nostalgic pop hits from the 1990s and 2000s.

Refurbishments for Zouk’s other nightlife venues in Singapore are being carried out in phases. Club venues Zouk Mainroom and Phuture are slated to close for renovations at the end of March, with the group targeting full completion of the refurbishment programme by June, coinciding with its 35th anniversary. Post-renovation, the group will boost its capacity from 3,000 to 3,500 across all concepts, with Zouk projecting a 20% increase in foot traffic.

Back in January, Zouk also announced it had secured a lease extension from landlord CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust for its flagship venue at CQ @ Clarke Quay. Commencing from June 2026, the lease will run until 2031.

The reopening of Capital unveils a space reimagined for connection and community. “Capital represents everything we hold dear: genuine connection, exceptional experiences, and a close-knit community,” Li says. “This is nightlife with intention.”
