Accor opens five new hotels in Asia

Accor has opened five new hotels in Asia,  according to a Dec 12 press release. The group has now opened a total of 26 new hotels in Asia this year, adding over 6,000 keys to its portfolio.

"Accor is strategically expanding its presence across Asia to cater to the evolving needs of today's travellers,” says Garth Simmons, CEO, premium, midscale and economy division for Accor in Asia. “Our vision is to provide elevated hospitality experiences for all segments, ensuring that each stay is marked by unparalleled service and comfort.”

The new properties comprise the 161-key ibis PJCC Petaling Jaya in Malaysia, the 152-key Novotel Suites Manila at Acqua in the Philippines, the 363-key Mercure Tokyo Haneda Airport in Japan and the 344-key Grand Mercure Lampung in Sumatra, Indonesia. According to Simmons, the new openings reflect Accor’s commitment to a diversified portfolio, offering a range of options for every type of traveller.
