A historic bungalow in Bukit Timah owned by the Ong family that founded the Green Bus Company has been sold. A caveat lodged on March 6 shows that the freehold property, located on Dunearn Road in District 11, sold for $55 million, or $2,274 psf on its land area of 24,190 sq ft.

A property title search shows that the site was sold to a company called Elevate Land.

The Ong family had put up the house for sale in November 2025 at a $55 million asking price. PropNex, the appointed marketing agent, had said that the land parcel could accommodate a range of configurations, including four detached homes, a mix of detached and semi-detached units, or up to ten landed homes comprising semi-detached and terrace houses, subject to regulatory approval. The land is zoned for three-storey mixed landed housing use.

Before that, the Ong family had previously put it on the market earlier in July that same year for $60 million ($2,480 psf).

The family owned the plot for more than seven decades. Occupying an elevated site with a sloped driveway, the existing residence on the property was built in 1953. It features a main two-storey residence and a single-storey annexe, along with a car garage and covered car porch.
