Cairnhill Road conservation terraced house for sale at $16 mil

A freehold corner terraced house at 124 Cairnhill Road in District 9 has been launched for sale through an expression of interest (EOI) exercise with an indicative price of $16 million. The price translates to $6,413 psf on the property’s land area of 2,495 sq ft.

Colliers, which is marketing the property, says the house has a gross floor area of 5,603 sq ft. It features four ensuite bedrooms, a guest room and a maid’s room with an ensuite bathroom. It also includes generous family spaces, a roof terrace, a covered car space, a steam room and an internal lift.

The conserved property was previously renovated by award-winning architecture studio RichardHo Architects and features a blend of architectural heritage and contemporary comfort, observes Tan Boon Leong, executive director for capital markets and investment services at Colliers Singapore. “Buyers who value craftsmanship and exclusivity will immediately recognise the enduring appeal of this home.”

Located in District 9, the house is part of a stretch of about 40 conserved terraced houses along Cairnhill Road that were developed around the turn of the 20th century. Featuring mostly late shophouse and art deco styles, the houses were awarded conservation status in 1989.



The property is about 700m away from the Newton MRT Station, with the Orchard Road shopping belt within walking distance.

Based on available caveats, the most recent transaction for a landed home on Cairnhill Road occurred last month. A terraced house with a land area spanning 2,816 sq ft changed hands for $12.8 million ($4,546 psf) on Feb 5. Before that, another terraced house with a land area spanning 1,913 sq ft was sold for $7 million ($3,660 psf) in June 2024.

The EOI will close on March 31 at 3pm.
