CapitaLand announces key executive appointments

CapitaLand has announced several key executive appointments which will take effect from May 1. it says the new appointments will support the next phase of leadership and business excellence in the group.

Ronald Tay will be appointed the Chief Executive Officer of CapitaLand Singapore and a key management personnel of CapitaLand Group. He is currently the CEO of Ascott Residence Trust Management (ARTML), a role he assumed on 27 February 2012.

Prior to taking up the role as CEO of ARTML, Tay was concurrently Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of The Ascott and Head of Business Development and Asset Management of ARTML until February 2012. Tay has been with the CapitaLand Group for more than 15 years. Prior to joining The Ascott, Tay was with CapitaLand Residential as Senior Vice President (Finance and Investment).

Tay will be taking over from Wen Khai Meng who will now be Senior Advisor, Group Strategy. Wen is currently the Chief Executive Officer of CapitaLand Singapore, a role he assumed on 3 January 2013. Wen has been with the CapitaLand Group for more than 20 years. He has held several senior appointments within the Group including Chief Investment Officer of CapitaLand, Chief Executive Officer of CapitaLand Commercial and Chief Executive Officer of CapitaLand Financial.



The other key executive changes include the appointment of Wilson Tan as the Deputy CEO of CapitaLand Mall Asia. He is currently the CEO of CapitaLand Mall Trust Management Limited (CMTML), a role he assumed on 1 July 2012.

Tony Tan will be appointed the CEO of CapitaLand Mall Trust Management Limited. Tan is currently Senior Vice President, CEO’s Office, CapitaLand Mall Asia. Prior to this appointment, Tan was CEO of CapitaLand Retail China Trust Management Limited (CRCTL) from 1 July 2010 to 31 March 2017.

Beh Siew Kim will be appointed the CEO of Ascott Residence Trust Management Limited’s (ARTML). She is currently the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of ARTML.
