Capitaland India is stepping up cleaning and adopting contactless technologies across its nine business parks in India. Currently, the developer has 17.5 million sq ft of commercial space comprising business and IT parks, industrial and logistics properties in Bangalore, Chennai, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune.

Vinamra Srivastava, CEO of Business Parks at CapitaLand India, said: “Our business parks have remained open throughout to enable our tenants to continue with their operations. We will ensure our business parks remain some of the safest in the country.”

Lifts at the business parks can be operated with a pedal system to ensure minimal contact. Such pedal systems will also be installed at washrooms, which can be used to open doors and activate faucets. There will also be hands-free sanitiser dispensers installed at common areas.

Visitors who visit CapitaLand’s nine business parks must register through an app in order to facilitate movement. Thermal scanners will be available at entry points.

Additionally, there will be ultra-low volume fogging and disinfection and UV air handling units that enhance indoor air quality, on top of increased cleaning and disinfecting frequency.

CapitaLand India has also set up a dedicated property management task force to oversee its business parks. The team will remind tenants and employees to adopt good personal hygiene practices and ensure that food safety and hygiene measures are adhered to.
