The 51-storey integrated development received its temporary occupation permit (TOP) at the end of last year. It is jointly owned by CapitaLand Development (CLD), CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust (CICT) and Mitsubishi Estate Co.

“CLD and our partners are delighted to mark the completion of CapitaSpring, a biophilic skyscraper that represents CapitaLand’s vision to build a greener and sustainable future as laid out in our 2030 Sustainability Master Plan,” says Tan Yew Chin, CEO of CLD.

Tenants started moving into the building from 4Q2021. According to CapitaSpring, tenants include MNCs from various industries. These include JP Morgan, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp, JLL, JERA Asia, Saxo Markets, Squarepoint Capital, White & Case, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.

“The positive market reception for CapitaSpring reinforces our confidence that offices continue to remain an integral part of companies’ workplace strategies,” says Tony Tan, CEO of CICT’s manager.

Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group in collaboration with Carlo Ratti Associati, CapitaSpring is a recipient of the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark Platinum Award and the BCA Universal Design Mark GoldPLUS Award.

Notable features at the development include the Green Oasis — a botanical promenade on levels 17 to 20 that offers a variety of work-live-play amenities. There is also the Sky Garden located on level 51 which features Singapore’s tallest publicly accessible observatory deck and urban farm. Sky Garden will be open to the public from 2Q2022.

Also located on level 51 is Kaarla Restaurant and Bar, serving Coastal Australia cuisine and Oumi, a modern Kappo dining and raw bar — both launching in 2Q2022 by F&B and lifestyle group 1-Group.

Meanwhile, Citadines Raffles Place Singapore, which occupies eight floors at CapitaSpring, has opened. The 299-unit serviced residence is the new flagship for Citadines Apart’hotel, managed by The Ascott.

CapitaSpring will also be bringing back the Market Street Hawker Centre, which will be located on levels 2 and 3. The hawker centre, owned by the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, is scheduled to open in April 2022 with 56 stalls.
