Crystal Palar joins as an executive managing director, capital markets, while Andrew Hunter joins as director, global capital. Both roles are based in Singapore.

Palar will work with Greg Hyland, head of capital markets, Asia Pacific, to provide strategic direction and facilitate cross-border capital flows with CBRE’s leading in-country teams across the region.

Meanwhile, Hunter will advise investors in Singapore and Southeast Asia on the execution of global investment and development strategies.

“Following the strong rebound last year, we anticipate a record year for investment in 2022; Crystal’s and Andrew’s wide-ranging experience and established client relationships will be a great addition to our team, as we create opportunities for our clients to realise their potential in the coming year and beyond,” says Hyland.

Palar joins CBRE after nearly 18 years at JLL, most recently as executive director, Asia Pacific Capital Markets. She has been involved in transactions of more than US$20 billion ($27 billion) over the past 10 years across all major asset classes.

Hunter previously worked at CBRE’s London office and prior to that, at a boutique private equity firm, where he advised on real estate investors in the UK and western Europe.
