Homegrown co-living brand Coliwoo, a subsidiary of real estate management services group LHN, is set to open its newest property next month at the site of the Old Bukit Timah Fire Station, located at 260 Upper Bukit Timah Road.

The State-owned heritage property has been repositioned as a mixed-use development with a 62-unit co-living residence by Coliwoo, a café and restaurant, as well as community event spaces. It is located near Hume MRT Station on the Downtown Line.

“Leveraging our core strengths in space optimisation and building restoration, we’ve reimagined the Old Bukit Timah Fire Station into a one-of-a-kind destination that seamlessly integrates co-living, lifestyle and community into a holistic ecosystem,” says Kelvin Lim, executive chairman of LHN and founder of Coliwoo.

The co-living residence comprises three ensuite room types with single-, twin-, and queen-studios. Each unit features in-room amenities such as a fully equipped kitchenette and a washer-cum-dryer. Interiors are styled in warm, nature-inspired tones with botanical motifs, reflecting the site's close proximity to green spaces like the 24km Rail Corridor, Bukit Timah Nature Reserve and Singapore’s 36km Coast-to-Coast Central Trail.

Common resident facilities consist of a community garden, a co-working space, a lounge and an outdoor space. Coliwoo also plans to organise regular member-exclusive events at the new location that will be open to all residents in its network.

Coliwoo says the average monthly rental rate starts from $3,500, and the serviced apartment has a minimum stay of six nights.

Coliwoo Bukit Timah Fire Station will also be a lifestyle destination along the Rail Corridor, and the nearest entry point is along Hindhede Walk. The site will also be pet-friendly with several child-friendly zones. The co-living operator will host public events such as artisan markets and workshops, complementing a tenant mix that includes urban farming, beer brewing, a swimming school and experiential retailers. Confirmed tenants include ST. Ali by Surrey Hills Group and aquaDucks, a swim school.

“Beyond creating a place to stay, our vision is to build a sustainable and vibrant community where people can gather, grow and experience a new way of conscious living that’s rooted in purpose and connected to nature,” adds Lim.
