Colliers beefs up occupier services team with two appointments

SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Colliers International has appointed Bastiaan van Beijsterveldt and June Chua as executive directors. The former will step up as the head of occupier services in Singapore, while the latter will be the head of tenant representation for its Singapore business.

Van Beijsterveldt had already been responsible for pursuing new business opportunities and driving collaboration between the various real estate business lines within Colliers. He will now focus on driving performance and recruiting new talent to strengthen the occupier services team.

He will also lead the occupier services team in Singapore to provide clients solutions to their workspace requirements for strategy, concept, planning, identification, evaluation and execution. Both the tenant representation and project management lines report to him.

Chua brings with her over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate, including at Cushman & Wakefield. She has been involved in commercial leasing, industrial and retail leasing.



In her new position, Chua will be responsible for leading the Colliers tenant representation team within occupier services, with a focus on growing the consultancy’s market share in representing tenants’ space requirements in the office, business park, industrial and retail sectors.

Colliers has also appointed Rick Thomas to a newly created role as managing director of emerging markets from Feb 1, 2021. He will be based in Singapore and is tasked with expanding Colliers’ client base and identifying new business and opportunities for cross-border collaboration.

Thomas has over 22 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry and started his career with Colliers 14 years ago. In his most recent role as executive director, Thomas headed the occupier services business in Singapore and was responsible for servicing the leasing and project management needs of large multinational occupier clients.
