Elevate Capital Group has announced the appointment of Anthony Couse as a partner. According to a Sept 8 press release, Couse, the former CEO for Asia Pacific (Apac) at JLL, will work with Elevate founder and managing partner Ashish Manchharam to “accelerate the firm’s growth, with a focus on scaling investor partnerships, expanding acquisitions, and enhancing asset management strategies”.
Couse spent over 35 years at JLL. His last role at the company was as Apac CEO, a position he held between 2016 and January 2025. Before that, he was managing director for Eastern China and Shanghai for over a decade, and also spent 12 years at JLL’s Hong Kong office.
"Anthony and I have had the privilege of working together over the years, and I have always admired his ability to navigate complex markets with clarity and conviction,” says Manchharam.

Manchharam also began his career at JLL. He spent over 12 years at the firm, where he focused on investment deals and capital markets across Hong Kong, Singapore, and the wider region. In 2014, he left JLL and subsequently founded real estate investment firm 8M Real Estate. In 2023, Manchharam exited 8M Real Estate, selling his share in the company to Hong Kong-based Crane Capital for an undisclosed sum.
The following year, he founded Elevate. Based in Singapore, the boutique real estate investment and asset management firm specialises in “lifestyle-centric real estate investments”.
In August 2024, Elevate acquired Stamford Court, a commercial building on Hill Street in the Downtown Core, in a joint venture with PGIM Real Estate for $132 million. Repositioning and asset enhancement works are currently being carried out at the development, which is targeted to reopen in the first half of 2026.
“Joining Elevate at this stage in its growth is an incredible opportunity to help scale a business with strong momentum and a clear vision,” says Couse. “I look forward to working with Ashish and the team to deepen our investor base, grow our portfolio, and create lasting value."
