Frasers Property Singapore’s project Rivière, located on the former site of Zouk nightclub at Jiak Kim Street, previews on May 25. The site in District 3 is unusual as it’s not just on the riverfront, but on the bend of the historic Singapore River. As such, the site is “a rare private oasis”, ensuring that every one of the 455 units in the luxury residential development enjoys an unobstructed view of the river, says Christopher Tang, CEO of Frasers Property Singapore.

Designed by Chan Soo Khian, principal of SCDA Architects – a name synonymous with luxury condos, hotels and resorts – Rivière has two 36-storey residential towers which are raised six storeys (about 18m) above ground level. The units are a mix of one- to four-bedroom apartments with sizes ranging from 560 to 2,002 sq ft. Based on the starting price of $2,580 psf, units will be priced in excess of $1.5 million for a one-bedroom unit.

The Sky Deck on the 37th floor or rooftop of the towers will feature facilities such as a teppanyaki dining pavilion, herb garden, hot spa, and offer residents 360-degree panoramic views of the Singapore River and the city skyline.

Besides the high-rise luxury residential towers, the 145,109 sq ft, 99-year leasehold site will also contain the three conserved godowns that used to house Zouk and a new-build, four-storey block that will house 80 serviced apartments. The conserved godowns will receive a new lease of life, and will be converted for commercial uses. These will include a range of communal facilities for the serviced apartment residents, F&B outlets and retail, for instance, a specialty or gourmet grocer’s, says Frasers Property’s Tang.

Rivière is located within a three- to four-minute walk to two upcoming MRT stations, namely Great World and Havelock on the Thomson-East Coast Line.

Frasers Property is expected to officially launch the project in July. Given the development’s iconic status, Tang expects the project to appeal to both locals and international buyers. The four appointed marketing agents for the project are: ERA Realty Network, Huttons Asia, Edmund Tie & Company and PropNex Realty.
