Frasers Property Thailand has signed a 15-year lease with Central Retail Corp, a major retailer in Thailand, to develop a distribution centre that spans over 807,293 sq ft in Frasers Property Logistics Center in Samut Prakan, Thailand.
Frasers Property has lauded it to be “Thailand’s first world-class logistics campus”, fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to increase the efficiency of logistics operations. The facility will also be the Central Retail group’s largest logistics campus in Thailand.
The upcoming centre will have a storage zone of 25m in height that can support up to 10 tons per sq m. This will enable automation and retrieval tech to be used according to the customers’ needs, says Frasers Property.
The distribution centre will feature solar rooftops, a co-working space, running track, and a fitness court.
Central Retail aims for the new campus to become a distribution hub shared by its affiliated companies, such as Central Department Stores, Robinson Department Stores, Supersports, B2S, OfficeMate, Central Marketing Group stores and Power Buy.
