On July 10, Allium Healthcare, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GK Goh Holdings, broke ground on its four-storey nursing home project on Venus Drive (below). This marks the start of construction for the first nursing home in Singapore comprising only single and double en suite rooms. The facility is expected to be ready in 1Q2019.

Aged care is now GK Goh’s largest operating business cluster, which includes an investment in Opal — an Australian operator of more than 6,200 beds across 72 nursing homes.

According to GK Goh, the development of the nursing home on Venus Drive marks its commitment to invest in aged-care services in Singapore for the long term. Should Allium Healthcare secure other financially viable sites close to residential neighbourhoods, the unit will consider investing in more nursing homes here, says principals from GK Goh and its subsidiary. Complementary services and assets within aged care are other potential investment projects for Allium Healthcare.
