SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - International developer Millennium Partners announced the global launch of The Residences at Winthrop Center on March 22. The US$1.30 billion ($1.77 billion) mixed-use project located on Devonshire Street in Boston will offer 317 units of one- to four-bedroom apartments ranging from 777 sq ft to 5,880 sq ft, priced from US$1.5 million ($2 mil). It will also offer 812,000 sq ft of Grade-A office space.

The residences in the 691-foot-tall development is slated to be LEED Gold certified, which is a credit-based system that gives points based on a building's level of compliance with various aspects of sustainability.

“Boston has always been one of the better performing markets in the US and has a lot to offer Asian buyers given its fundamentally stable and strong economy driven primarily by its health and education industries,” said Millennium Partners Boston principal Richard Baumert. He adds that the proximity of top universities like Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Boston University will be a big draw for Asians who are considering moving to the US to pursue higher education.

Millennium Partners is known for its portfolio of luxury mixed-use residential and commercial properties including Millennium Place and Millennium Tower Boston, New York’s Central Park South and Lincoln Square.
