Global Logistic Properties has signed a built-to-suit (BTS) agreement with Adidas to develop the German multinational corporation's largest distribution centre in Asia. Under the agreement, GLP will help Adidas to double its space in Suzhou, Eastern China, in the face of strong demand amid increasing domestic consumption.

The 893,000 sq ft project, comprising three double-story blocks, is also GLP’s first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold standard facility in China. LEED is an internationally-recognised and employed standard for measuring the performance of green buildings.

According to Co-President of GLP China Victor Mok, this build-to-suit project with Adidas aligns with GLP’s strengths in securing land in prime locations where land is limited. The agreement also reflects a strong growing demand for logistic facilities that serve retail and domestic consumption.
