SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Luxury co-working operator The Great Room has expanded into the Australian market for the first time. It has launched a 12,912 sq ft co-working space on the 29th floor of 85 Castlereagh Street. The new office location will comprise 35 dedicated offices and enterprise spaces and feature views of the nearby Hyde Park.

The property is managed by Australia and New Zealand-based asset manager 151 Property. “As we continue to see demand for flexible and amenity-rich workplace offerings, we are excited to welcome The Great Room by Industrious to our premium-grade office asset,” says Ryan Carter, head of office for 151 Property.

The interior of the new space in Sydney will be designed by design firm Hassell, which has curated multiple Great Room spaces and locations. The Sydney location will offer dedicated offices for three to 30 people or enterprise teams, hot desk options, day passes, and virtual offices for businesses. An enterprise suite option is also available that provides custom solutions.

“Sydney is an important part of our growth in Asia Pacific, where the professional community is dynamic and sophisticated. We look forward to welcoming members to our new space in Sydney, designed to meet their evolving needs,” says Jaelle Ang, co-founder and CEO of The Great Room.

This is the second new opening by The Great Room so far this year. In April, it opened its first heritage shophouse in Chinatown, Singapore. The shophouse marked the sixth property in the city-state by the co-working operator.

The Great Room also opened a second location in Bangkok in May and, with the latest space in Sydney, has grown to 10 prime locations in cities across the Asia Pacific region. Founded in Singapore in 2016, the company was acquired by US-based flexible workspace provider Industrious last year. Global real estate consultancy holds a 40% stake in Industrious.
