Properties under hospitality-led workplace provider The Great Room — spanning Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Sydney — will operate under the Industrious brand, effective July 1.

The rebrand comes four years after US-headquartered Industrious — now a unit of CBRE — acquired homegrown The Great Room in May 2022. CBRE acquired full control of Industrious in January 2025.

The move will unify Industrious' Asia Pacific (Apac) locations, previously operating under The Great Room, into its global network, the company said in a June 17 release.

"Establishing a single global brand unifies our team and members around the core values that have always defined us: premium hospitality, beautiful design, and a true sense of belonging,” adds Gentry Long, president of Industrious.

Industrious plans to expand its Apac portfolio by more than 50% over the next 12 months, including the opening of three new locations in Singapore this year. The pipeline is part of a broader global expansion, with the company aiming to open over 60 new locations worldwide in 2026.

The Great Room currently operates seven locations in Singapore, including workspaces at One George Street in the CBD, Ngee Ann City on Orchard Road, and Raffles Arcade on North Bridge Road.

The three new locations slated to open in the city-state this year are at Keppel South Central on Hoe Chiang Road, Shaw Tower on Beach Road, and Stamford Place and Stamford Road.

The Great Room also currently operates two locations in Sydney, Australia; two in Bangkok, Thailand; and one in Hong Kong.

"At the core, The Great Room and Industrious share the same belief that work should feel human," says  Su Anne Mi, managing director for Industrious Apac and co-founder of The Great Room. "That philosophy is what defined The Great Room across Apac, and it carries forward under the Industrious brand.”
