This marks the second consecutive year Guoco Tower had received accolades at the international event. In 2020, it won the World Gold Winner for the mixed-use development category.

Guoco Tower, located in the CBD, stands at 290m and is Singapore’s tallest skyscraper. The development has been recognised for transforming the Tanjong Pagar district into a business and lifestyle hub and for its placemaking efforts.

It is a mixed-use development with premium Grade A offices, retail and F&B spaces, a five-star hotel Sofitel Singapore City Centre, residential homes at Wallich Residence, and an Urban Park.

The development’s high-connectivity, walkability, smart and green-building technology, and inclusive open spaces contributed to its success in attracting a business community, says the developer.

“We are firm advocates for quality buildings with a strong value proposition and new concepts which address the needs of the evolving workplace,” says Cheng Hsing Yao, group managing director, GuocoLand Singapore.

Cheng believes that “offices that are highly connected and accessible, provide strong community and placemaking efforts, and part of an integrated development remain relevant and more resilient”.
