[UPDATE] GuocoLand Singapore CFO Andrew Chew appointed group CFO; Valerie Wong takes on new role of group GM, asset management

SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - GuocoLand group CFO Gregory Sim has resigned, with his resignation to take effect on Dec 31.

Sim has been group CFO at GuocoLand since August 2020. According to a media release by the company on Dec 22, Sim is stepping down to pursue personal interests.

Pursuant to his resignation, GuocoLand announced the appointment of Andrew Chew as new group CFO effective Jan 1, 2022. Chew is currently CFO of GuocoLand Singapore, a role he has held since July 2017.



Prior to that, he was the group financial controller at GuocoLand Singapore between July 2013 to June 2017. He has also held the role of group financial controller at GuocoLand from July 2011 to June 2013.

GuocoLand also announced the appointment of Valerie Wong as group general manager, asset management. In the newly created position, Wong, who was most recently general manager of the group's Singapore commercial operations, will have an expanded role which will include overseeing GuocoLand’s growing portfolio of investment properties, comprising investment assets in Singapore, China and Malaysia.

Wong had spearheaded the launch of Guoco Tower’s premium Grade A offices, and also led the placemaking efforts at Guoco Tower integrated development in Tanjong Pagar. She was also a founding member of the Discover Tanjong Pagar Business Improvement District initiative.
