Global hospitality brand Hilton has signed a partnership with Brighton Corporation to introduce its second Curio Collection by Hilton hotel in Japan. Under the agreement, the Kyoto Brighton Hotel will undergo renovations and be rebranded as a Curio Collection by Hilton property.
Following the conversion, the hotel will offer 160 guest rooms, multiple dining venues featuring Kyoto-style kaiseki cuisine, a 240-guest banquet hall and a fitness centre. Located less than a 20-minute drive from Kyoto Station, the property also provides easy access to key attractions, including the Fushimi Inari Shrine. The rebranded hotel is slated to open in winter 2028 and will continue to be managed by Brighton Corporation.
As a Curio Collection property, the hotel will be part of Hilton Honors, Hilton’s guest loyalty program, giving members access to flexible payment options, exclusive discounts, standard Wi-Fi, and check-in and checkout through the Hilton app.

The hotel is the second Curio Collection by Hilton property in Japan, following the brand's debut in Karuizawa, Nagano Prefecture, in 2018. The Curio Collection by Hilton currently has over 190 hotels worldwide.
“In partnership with Brighton Corporation — which has extensive experience in hotel management in Kyoto — we look forward to welcoming guests with exceptional hospitality,” says Hirohisa Fujimoto, vice president for development at Hilton Japan and Micronesia.
Tsutomu Yasuda, president of Brighton Corporation, adds, “Through this partnership with Hilton, we aim to continue building a beloved hotel that leverages the experience and deep relationships that we have cultivated with the local community over the years.”
