Asset management firm Aravest, together with Wee Hur Property, has partnered with global hospitality group Hilton to introduce the DoubleTree by Hilton brand to Singapore.
According to a Nov 3 release, the collaboration will see the conversion of Hotel Miramar at Robertson Quay into a 344-room riverfront hotel under the DoubleTree by Hilton brand. Slated to open in 2026, the property will mark DoubleTree’s first foray into the Singapore market.
Moses K Song, CEO of Aravest, says the partnership reflects the firm’s “conviction in Singapore’s attractiveness as both a commercial and leisure destination.” Maria Ariizumi, vice president of development for Hilton Southeast Asia, adds that the signing “will expand the property market’s reach and unlock greater long-term returns,” underscoring Hilton’s strategic growth in the region.

The rebranding will include extensive upgrades to guestrooms, meeting facilities, dining areas, and lounges, as well as a refreshed lobby, gym and pool deck. New amenities, including a kids’ club and pickleball courts, will be introduced, reflecting DoubleTree’s signature focus on warm and thoughtful hospitality.
Goh Chengyu, CEO of Wee Hur Property, says the hotel “will set a new benchmark for hospitality in the area.” Located along the Singapore River, the property is within walking distance of Havelock MRT Station on the Thomson–East Coast Line, offering convenient access to Orchard and other key destinations. In addition to riverside bars and dining options, the hotel is close to cultural landmarks such as Chinatown, Bugis, Arab Street and Fort Canning Park.
The site is situated along a stretch of older hotels built in the 1970s, including the Furama RiverFront Hotel and Copthorne King’s Hotel, which underwent renovations in recent years. The upcoming DoubleTree by Hilton will add over 500 rooms to Singapore’s hospitality pipeline and, according to Ariizumi, “contribute to the vibrancy of Robertson Quay.”
