EY’s Selina Short will join JLL as CEO of Australia and New Zealand on May 11, the New York-listed global commercial real estate and investment management company announced on Feb 17.
She succeeds Luke Billiau, who served as interim CEO and will return to his full-time position as JLL’s head of capital markets for Australia and New Zealand.
Short brings an “exceptional depth” of knowledge in shaping the future of the built environment and driving outcomes and value for clients, said JLL global executive board member Richard Bloxam.

She led industry strategy, major client relationships and thought leadership across the region, as an advisor to governments, developers, investors and asset owners.
From 2019 to 2024, she led EY’s built environment and resources practice across Oceania, overseeing real estate, construction, infrastructure and resources.
Short is a director of the Green Building Council of Australia and a member of the Champions of Change Coalition (Property Group). She also held previous roles on the New South Wales government’s Landcom Board, Building 4.0 Cooperative Research Centre, and Property Council of Australia National Cities committee.
