Koh Brothers Building & Civil Engineering (KBCE) has jointly clinched a $668.2 million contract from the Public Utilities Board (PUB) for the construction of influent pumping stations at Tuas Water Reclamation Plant (TWRP). KBCE is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore-listed engineering and construction company, Koh Brothers Eco Engineering.

TWRP will be developed as part of the Deep Tunnel Sewage System Phase 2 project. The whole project is an underground system that conveys water to centralised water reclamation plants in coastal areas, and is a cost-efficient and sustainable solution for Singapore’s long-term water collection, treatment, reclamation, and disposal.

KBCE’s joint-venture (JV) partner for the project is China Harbour (Singapore) Engineering Co. Koh Brothers Eco has an effective stake of 60% in the JV company. This contract will lift Koh Brothers Eco’s order book to more than $1 billion, up from $632.3 million as at March 31, 2019.

Construction is expected to commence this month, and be completed in 2025.
