Mapletree Investments unveiled the design of V Plaza, twin towers with Grade A offices in Vietnam, on March 25. The group also officially opened its first Mapletree-developed serviced apartment in Vietnam, Oakwood Residence Saigon, located in District 7 of Ho Chi Minh City.

When completed in 2023, V Plaza, which is a joint venture with Saigon Co.op Investment Development JSC, will be the largest office complex in District 7. It will offer about 710,400 sq ft in net lettable area of office space. The 27-storey twin towers will cater to the demands of local and international companies in e-commerce/IT, banking and financial, and manufacturing.

V Plaza, together with the completed SC VivoCity, Mapletree Business Centre, RichLane Residences and Oakwood Residence Saigon, will complement Mapletree’s “Work, Live and Play” concept for the 4.4-hectare integrated development, Saigon South Place.

The 30-storey Oakwood Residence Saigon offers 237 fully furnished serviced apartments, ranging from studios to three-bedroom units. Amenities include multi-function meeting rooms measuring up to 1,184 sq ft, an on-site restaurant, fitness centre, swimming pool and a children’s playground. The property is managed by Oakwood and had a soft opening in April last year.

The unveiling of V Plaza saw the attendance of 160 guests, including the guest-of-honour, Singapore Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean. At Oakwood Residence Saigon, a commemorative plaque was unveiled at the opening ceremony.

Mapletree currently owns and manages more than US$1.09 billion ($1.47 billion) of assets in Vietnam.
