Dubai-based master developer Nakheel announced on Feb 11 that concrete works at its luxury mixed-use development The Palm Tower in Dubai have passed the 80% mark. This means 42 of 52 storeys at the project are now complete.

Another eight residential floors, occupying the 43rd storey to the 50th storeys, will be completed by 3Q2018, says Nakheel.

The Palm Tower is will be the “centrepiece” of Palm Jumeirah, says Nakheel, who is also master developer of the entire Palm Jumierah archipelago, located off Dubai’s coast, near the Dubai International City and Dubai Media City.

At 240 metres high, The Palm Tower will include a 289-room hotel named The St Regis Dubai – The Palm, which will occupy the first 18 floors of the tower. The 432-unit residential component of The Palm Tower will comprise one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.

There are also dining and leisure facilities, including a restaurant on the 51st floor with sweeping city views. The project will have direct access to the adjacent Nakheel Mall, which will feature five floors with 350 shops, restaurants and leisure attractions, over 1.2 million sq ft of leasable space.
