SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - International property agency One Global Group says it has seen an increase in Asia-based clients using digital platforms to assist in the purchase of new homes. “Many buyers have now become accustomed to online shopping and purchasing homes sight unseen,” the company states in a press release.

To meet this shift in buyer behaviour, One Global’s PropTech arm, One Global Labs, has developed a range of technology-driven solutions aimed at helping Asia-based buyers purchase an overseas property. This includes tools for budgeting, analysing costs and returns, as well as data dashboards to explore various market indicators.

The firm also announced it has partnered HomeViews,  a UK ratings website that provides information on new-build developments, developers, and neighbourhoods, sourced from verified residents.

The partnership helps One Global’s clients get a more in-depth view of properties in the UK before they make a purchase, notes James Puddle, One Global’s founder and CEO. “HomeViews provides detailed information of properties and neighbourhoods from people who actually live there, something that’s invaluable to prospective homebuyers,” he adds.

Through HomeViews, potential buyers can learn more about the property they may be considering and its surroundings without having to visit it themselves.“We’re able to provide potential buyers with information that they wouldn’t get from anywhere else,” says Rory Cramer, HomeViews’ CEO and co-founder.

HomeViews’ content helps potential homebuyers get a better understanding of top-rated buildings and, particularly when buying off-plan, understand more about the developer and location. “For buyers relocating from Asia, it has proved invaluable,” he says. The company currently sees 10% of its traffic from Asia, including China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. Visitors to the website from Asia want to primarily learn more about the location of the property, including education in the area and security.
