Pan Pacific Hotels Group announced the opening of its 213-key Parkroyal A’Famosa Melaka Resort on March 1. It is the group’s first property in Melaka and its sixth property in Malaysia.
The opening of the Parkroyal in Melaka brings the number of Parkroyal resort properties in Malaysia to three, including the one in Langkawi and Penang.
Choe Peng Sum, CEO of Pan Pacific Hotels Group, sees Melaka as “an ideal location” given the projected 18.7 million tourists in 2024.

Hence, the resort’s facilities include a spa, seven meeting rooms, a grand ballroom with a capacity of 700 guests, swimming pools and pool lounge, and F&B outlets.
The resort is located in Alor Gajah, a 45-minute drive from Malacca City near the Simpang Ampat exit on the North–South Expressway. Nearby attractions are said to include A’Famosa Waterworld, Safari Wonderland, Freeport A’Famosa Outlet & Coach Airways and a 27-hole golf course.
