Qingjian Realty (South Pacific) Group Pte Ltd and Samsung Asia Pte Ltd signed a partnership on Feb 25 to incorporate smart living technology into new residential developments. Qingjian hopes to “future proof” its upcoming launches by incorporating the necessary infrastructure to support smart homes as they are constructed, according to Li Jun, general manager of Qingjian, in a statement.

Some of the new smart-home features will also be offered at Qingjian’s upcoming EC project in Sembawang, which is expected to be launched in 2016. As part of the agreement, Qingjian will use Samsung products in its upcoming developments. Meanwhile, homeowners of developments by Qingjian that are scheduled to receive TOP from 2015 will also be able to purchase Samsung appliances at “a preferential rate”.
