Property advisory firm Savills has appointed nine senior executives and launched its renewed capital markets teams in the Australian states of Queensland and Victoria, to strengthen its capital markets advisory platform across the country’s east coast and the Asia Pacific region.

These strategic hires align with improving conditions across Australia’s capital markets and an expected uplift in investor activity in 2026, and will also strengthen Savills’ cross-border connectivity to global capital, the London-listed agency said in an announcement on Feb 24.

“As liquidity returns following a period of subdued activity, investors are seeking advisors with scale and specialist execution,” said Ben Schubert, national head, capital transactions and advisory at Savills Australia and New Zealand. “We have strengthened our team to meet rising market demand,” he added.

Alice Crowley has been named director of Asia Pacific capital markets, based in Singapore. She brings 15 years of experience in bid and origination, development, investor relations and capital raising, as well as supporting global capital activity in major markets in Australia. Crowley was previously director of international capital at Knight Frank, and has held senior roles at Lendlease and The GPT Group.

This follows the hiring of Neil Brookes as Savills’ head of Asia Pacific capital markets in November 2025. Also based in Singapore, Brookes leads the team having brokered more than US$15 billion in cross-border transactions, with experience advising private wealth, sovereign wealth funds, private equity firms and global institutions.

Brookes noted that Crowley’s appointment reflects the firm’s commitment to strengthening its regional capabilities as the Asia Pacific enters “a new growth phase”.

“With offshore capital seeking greater exposure to Australia, Alice brings strong local relationships and global expertise, enhancing our capacity to advise both domestic and international investors,” Brookes added.

Meanwhile, Seb Turnbull has been named executive director, capital markets for Australia, and head of capital markets for Queensland, the firm announced on Feb 24. He will be responsible for the sale of office buildings across the country. With more than two decades of experience in capital markets advisory, Turnbull was most recently head of capital markets for Queensland at JLL.

Investor interest in the state remains robust, with increasing transactional activity across multiple asset classes, said Savills state managing director for Queensland, Matt Kearney. “Having a renewed presence in Queensland unlocks sharper local insight and disciplined execution for our clients as markets continue to improve,” he added.

In Victoria, Kiran Pillai and Scott McGlone have been appointed national directors to lead the capital markets team for the state. Previously holding senior roles at CBRE, Pillai and McGlone bring more than 14 years’ experience advising on major office investments and middle-market transactions.

The team in Victoria is bolstered by a further four hires, also ex-CBRE. Jamus Campbell and Nick Peden have been named senior directors for middle markets. Each of them has more than 14 years’ experience in commercial property investment sales and a deep knowledge of Melbourne’s CBD and city-fringe markets.

Nikola Jackson is coming on board as associate director for capital markets, bringing nine years of valuation and capital markets advisory experience, while Emma Rowland joins as team assistant.

As confidence returns to Victoria, the expanded local team will enable Savills to capitalise on improving office investment conditions, particularly across Melbourne’s core CBD and metropolitan markets, said Joe Phegan, state managing director for Victoria.
