Savills has announced the appointment of Emily Fell as senior director in its Asia Pacific (Apac) capital markets team. In a Sept 8 release, the company states that Fell will focus on the living sectors, delivering intelligence and advisory services across living assets, including multifamily, co-living, student accommodation, senior living and hotel segments.
Fell’s appointment is part of Savills’ strategy to enhance its Apac capabilities in emerging asset classes, says Martin Fidden, CEO of Savills Asia Pacific. “Her proven track record in building expertise and advising clients on sophisticated investment strategies is the ideal foundation to enhance our pan-regional real estate alternatives expertise.”
Prior to joining Savills, Fell spent nearly 14 years at Knight Frank. She most recently served as its head of global capital strategies, based in Singapore. She was appointed to the role in 2021. Before that, she was director for Knight Frank’s Apac capital markets team.

According to Savills’ press release, Fell has advised investors across Apac in deals totalling $4 billion across key global markets.
The company adds that her appointment will strengthen Savill’s Apac team’s connection to its Europe-based operational capital markets team. The latter has transacted over $25 billion in assets globally over the past 24 months.
Fell observes a “compelling” investment case for living sectors in Apac. “On a risk-adjusted basis, these assets offer the stable, durable income streams that institutional investors are searching for, and we are seeing significant growth in demand in markets like Japan, Australia, and South Korea,” she adds.
