The real estate arm of Malaysian conglomerate Sunway Group, Sunway Property, has announced a RM4.2 billion ($1.37 billion) sales target for this year, anchored by a RM4.8 billion launch pipeline across Malaysia and the regional market.
Sunway Group surpassed its sales goal last year by garnering RM3.8 billion in total sales, RM200 million above its initial target. The developer is on a sustained upward growth trajectory, expanding from RM2.4 billion in 2023, and RM3 billion in 2024.
According to Chung Soo Kiong, managing director of Sunway Property, “Homebuyers today are more deliberate and value-driven. They prioritise certainty, liveability and long-term value, not just a unit.”

To achieve this goal, the firm is aligning its strategy with upcoming transformations in Malaysia such as Malaysia’s 13th Malaysia Plan, a five-year roadmap aimed at transforming Malaysia into a high-income, sustainable, and innovation-driven nation under the "Ekonomi MADANI" framework, infrastructure investment and the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone.
Through its Master Community Developer philosophy, Sunway Design & Development framework and Build-Own-Operate model, Sunway Property has a few upcoming launches spread across Malaysia and regionally to meet its target.
For Johor, there are four projects planned to launch in 2026, three residential developments in Sunway City Iskandar Puteri (SCIP) and a residential tower near Bukit Chagar Rapid Transit System. The three residential projects in SCIP include the second phase of Sunway Sakura, as well as other serviced apartments and semi-detached houses, alongside lifestyle segments such as Jeffrey Cheah Circuit and Sunway Puteri Hills.
Meanwhile, Kuala Lumpur will launch Sunway Serene Phase 2 and Tower C of Sunway Velocity 3, with Jeffrey Cheah Performing Arts Centre at Sunway Square scheduled for completion.
In Penang, the developer will add retail components and serviced apartments in the Sunway Wellesley township, while Ipoh will see the launch of Sunway Bayu and the completion of Sunway Ipoh Mall in 2027.
Internationally, Sunway Property will launch mixed-use development Pinery Residences, which features 588 residential units atop a commercial podium with a supermarket, food court and childcare centre. In China, the developer plans to launch a new condo block at Sunway Gardens.
