SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Two adjoining historical shophouses at Devonshire Road are up for sale via tender at $15.6 million.

The two shophouses have an estimated land area of 3,069 sq ft which is currently zoned for residential use with a gross plot ratio of 2.8, says marketing agent Huttons Asia. The property has five bedrooms, with a front verandah and backyard space.

The freehold shophouses are part of a row of 16 shophouses located about 350m from Somerset MRT Station on the North-South Line. The Orchard Road shopping belt is a five-minute walk away.

“Buyers have the opportunity to live in a shophouse which is rare given that many are used for commercial purposes,” says Lawrence See, associate district director of Huttons Asia. “Subject to approval, the buyer can potentially do addition and alteration to add in an attic and extra bedrooms,” he adds.
