SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - UOL Group and its hotel subsidiary, Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG), have launched a new hotel brand, called Parkroyal Collection Hotels & Resorts.

The former Marina Mandarin, now rebranded as Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay, as well as Parkroyal Collection Pickering (formerly Parkroyal on Pickering), will both be housed under the new brand, which emphasises iconic design, eco-friendliness and sustainability practices.

The 575-room Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay will undergo a $45 million renovation to become  a “garden in a hotel',' says PPHG.

Liam Wee Sin, group chief executive at UOL, says: “As a developer, we are keenly aware of the environmental challenges and we believe everyone can do their part to contribute to sustainability and our environment. The launch of Parkroyal Collection brand marks an important milestone in our PPHG’s journey.”

“This launch is exciting and timely because we are building on what Parkroyal Collection Pickering has achieved,” he adds.

Choe Peng Sum, CEO of PPHG, says: “The brand adopts a long-term view of care and guardianship towards our environment and community.”
