One could say that Zann Low is the personification of grit and determination. From the time when she barely spoke English in her 20s to leading a 40-strong group today, she shows that nothing stands in your way if you are willing to try.
Back then, Low held an accounts job in a manufacturing firm in Singapore. But backroom operations were not for her, and she yearned for growth and meaning in work: real estate seemed to be the right fit. Encouraged by her cousin, a realtor, Low decided to take a leap of faith and delve into the industry.
Her biggest obstacle at the start was not being fluent in English. But instead of allowing it to limit her, she attended English classes and rehearsed repeatedly in front of the mirror before meeting clients, ensuring she could deliver a confident showflat presentation. “It is like what my mother always tells me, if you don’t have an umbrella on a rainy day, you have to run faster. You have to be more self-reliant than others,” she says.
Two decades later, Low and her husband, Gary Ong, have received the ERA Millionaire Award for eight consecutive years; and for Low, the Top Group Division Director Award, building a strong reputation in managing clients’ property portfolios and meeting diverse real estate needs.

Low believes effective leadership begins on the ground. She continues to handle sales and stays closely connected with clients. As a Project IC for multiple new launches, Low works closely with developers to ensure smooth launches and strong results.
Her industry relationships and on-the-ground experience benefit both her team and clients. Today, she leads a team of 40 energetic members, mostly aged between 30 and 35. Among her proudest achievements is mentoring and producing the youngest millionaire under 30 within her division.
Her passion for empowerment inspired her involvement in ERA’s EmpowHer initiative. Her conviction is that women must first have faith in themselves — then act on that belief. She notes that women often overthink but should never doubt their capabilities. Balancing multiple roles — daughter, wife, mother, leader — already demonstrates strength and competence.
Low attributes success to mindset. She commits fully to everything she does, knowing that growth demands discipline and consistency. Her advice to women is clear: don’t wait until you feel ready. Start first. Skills can be learned and confidence built, but courage must come from within.

To Low, empowerment also means balance. “Women give much to others. But true empowerment also means remembering to love and value themselves. When grounded and confident, we can build careers, nurture families and make meaningful impact,” she says.
Looking back, Low says she would choose the same path again. If she could speak to her younger self, she would say, “I am so proud of you.” She believes courage is essential. “Be brave enough to try and not be afraid of failure. Make your life fruitful and meaningful, with no regrets,” she advises.
