Clementi is located in the West of Singapore. Clementi used to be swampland, with a scattering of Kampung-style homes and villages. Since a development initiative was taken by HDB in the 1970s, Clementi has emerged as one of the most popular property estates in the country. The Clementi Planning Area and the Clementi New Town Area are the two main residential areas in the region. An estimated 72,200 residents are currently staying in 24,881 apartment units.
Clementi New Town has been designed to be self-sufficient since its inception as a new development, so it’s equipped with all sorts of amenities, transport nodes, education and recreational facilities to best serve the residents. Major amenities here include the Clementi Mall, the 12-hectare Clementi Woods Park, the Clementi Sports Hall and Clementi Swimming Complex. Additionally, there are several schools in the area, such as Clementi Primary School and Clementi Town Secondary School.
The area is well-connected to other places by Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) at Clementi MRT Station, as well as the Clementi Bus Interchange. In mid-2010, the Clementi Town Centre was transformed into a state-of-art hub at the site of the former Clementi Bus Interchange. The development known as The Clematis, would feature the fifth bus interchange in Singapore to have full air-conditioning facilities together with three blocks of flats, a shopping complex and a library.
Dining and finding good food has never been an issue in Clementi. A particularly favoured place is the 35-year-old Clementi 448 Market & Food Centre, which is within a few minutes’ walk from the MRT Station. Avocado juice is also a must-try drink for visitors, and the best thing about this food centre is its modernity - as most of the stalls here accept NETS FlashPay.

Singapore Polytechnic and the National University of Singapore are also located here for older students and can offer a tenant pool for foreign faculty members and students for rentals in the Clementi and Dover areas.
Buona Vista property is well served by the Star Vista mall for shopping and entertainment, and offers access to two MRT lines that will prove popular with professionals working in One North. Clementi property could enjoy strong price growth with the development of the Jurong Lake District and the High Speed Rail Terminus at Jurong East MRT, which is only one station away from Clementi MRT.
