Spanning 13,150ha in land area, the region hosts Singapore's only UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to many of the country's national monuments, such as the Merlion Park and Statue of Raffles. Although the region is designated mainly for commercial activities, it houses residential developments ranging from HDBs to bungalows. There is also plenty of greenery in the region, linked by 19km of park connectors. According to the Master Plan 2019, Orchard and Downtown will be rejuvenated as a lifestyle hub to include more mixed developments which offer live, work and play opportunities. "Just renewed my lease for this apt. Only complaint is The increase from 2200 monthly rent to 2750 monthly due to inflation costs. However decided to stay on due to convenience and troublesome to move which is costing more. Else place is quiet peaceful and ez to get around to Central Area. Near CBD where rents are 3500 to 5000k so relatively still cheaper to rent at the outskirts of city. Hope the rent will not increase again during next lease renewal in 2024."

"Beautiful 1 bedder apartment facing main road with nice balcony for laundry at MBR and Living Room. Efficient layout . Ez to maintain. My rent is 2.8k. Nice amenities nearby and near the Train Station. Will miss this place when I return to Germany."
