Spanning 13,150ha in land area, the region hosts Singapore's only UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to many of the country's national monuments, such as the Merlion Park and Statue of Raffles. Although the region is designated mainly for commercial activities, it houses residential developments ranging from HDBs to bungalows. There is also plenty of greenery in the region, linked by 19km of park connectors. According to the Master Plan 2019, Orchard and Downtown will be rejuvenated as a lifestyle hub to include more mixed developments which offer live, work and play opportunities. New housing will be constructed in the Marina South Area with community facilities and amenities. Stage-6 of the Circle Line opening by 2025 will also enhance the Central Region's connectivity.

"Loved the rooftop pool! But the condo we rented was advertised as 9 person. In fact it was just a small 2 bedroom apartment, with extra bunk beds stuck in the living room and main entrance, such that there was hardly any space to move around. No desks or stands for suitcases. Closets only in the bedrooms. One small table and 2 plastic stools in the living room. And some of the beds had dirt and hair in them, as if the sheets had not been changed after the last guests."

"Have lived here for 3 years. Good location in between Aljunied and Paya Lebar station with its 3 malls, with many coffeeshops nearby as well as a public library and swimming pool. 1 bedroom apartment is cosy, but not spacious enough for dogs (the golden retriever at the other apartment refuses to go inside after every walk). Rooftop pool is great with long length and jacuzzi, and many visitors love the infinity view. The drawback is that it does not face the sunset, and there is no toilet for visitors during bbq parties."

"The room at Ground floor is worst place i have ever stayed... upper floor toilet water drops at your head near entry door... after booking and paying online no response or support is given on complaints....! Think 100 times before going for it!!!"

"Strategic location, very close to bus and MRT station (Al Junied). Fruit stall, seven eleven, halal restaurants (Tasvee and Mufiz) are in walking distance. Clean and cozy. Public facility (mini gym, swimming pool) and room wifi are also great."
