The region is a key aviation hub, housing the Paya Lebar Air Base and Changi Naval Base. Major airlines such as Singapore Airlines, Scoot and Jetstar also has their head offices in the area. Other major economic activity includes manufacturing, with industrial estates in Bedok, Changi, Pasir Ris, Tampines and Paya Lebar. Changi Business Park also hosts a number of MNCs such as Standard Chartered and IBM. Going forward, the government has plans to create more semi-conductor and aviation-related jobs at Tampines North, Pasir Ris and Changi. Aside from the bustling economic activity, residents benefit from a wide variety of green and play spaces in the region. Residents will also enjoy increased connectivity to other parts of Singapore with the upcoming Cross Island Line and Thomson-East Coast Line.

"I normally don't write reviews but I somehow disagree with the previous reviews about 1) rooms being small (have u seen how tiny the rooms are for the new condos Size of a single bed plus small wardrobe) 2) Hot apartment The place here is so windy that I keep the sliding glass doors only slightly ajar. 3) Noise pollution due to renovation can't be helped. Happens everywhere. Infact, very rarely there's a reno, in my humble opinion. 4) The place is quiet even on weekends. The family that was commented on in the previous post has since shifted out. This estate is conveniently located with 3 exit and entry points into LorG unlike other Lorongs where you have to stop and wait for oncoming cars if one happens to be on the lane where cars are parked along the road. Overall, I only have good things to say about Medley. Come and experience it for youself!"

"It was a nice quiet place for family. However, there are new neighbours/tenants that do not appreciate the quiet ambiance. Having their kid(s) jumping into the pool constantly and running or cycling around the carpark has made the place rather unruly and noisy. Especially so from daniel kermorvant. Whose kid is known to make a lot of noise in the pool for a long duration. Even during phase 2 (HA), he did not wear mask and inter mingled with families despite repeated reminders from the government. Even estates reminders about being considerate while using the pool fell on deaf ears. From feedbacks by some long time stayer in this estate, this was truly a hidden gem in Telok Kurau. Hopefully, the owners or tenants with these noisy kid(s) learn more about the quiet community environment this estate was and restore its former tranquility."

"During the Covid-19 pandemic, when everyone is working at home, the management should control the noise pollution. While light renovation should be carried out, massive renovation creating unbearable noise should be prohibited by the management. At the Medley on the East Coast, this is certainly not the case. The management should show careful thoughts for renovation approval during this pandemic. Today I am recording between 80 and 90db. How can we be on Zoom conference call with that Very sad that no consideration has be been taken in account."
