Jurong East is the regional centre of the region, while Jurong West is the most populous town in the region. A large number of Singapore's heavy industry companies are concentrated in the West Region. These are mainly petrochemical companies, comprising of international players such as BP, ExxonMobil, DuPont, Mitsui Chemicals and Shell. The West Region is also at the forefront of the government's industrial development efforts. The government plans to develop the Jurong Lake District and Jurong Innovation District into the second Central Business District (CBD) area in Singapore. Additionally, the Tuas Mega Port, upon completion in the 2040s, is anticipated to be the world's single largest container port with an annual capacity of 65 million TEUs.

"Windermere is like a hidden gem in Yew Tee. It has full condo facilities such as a beautiful swimming pool with water fountain and jacuzzi, sauna, playground, BBQ, Gym, basketball court, outdoor tennis court, games room, clubhouse, etc. The units are so spacious! The greeneries are superb! Many palm trees and the view is so pretty. And the most important, it's well maintained and nice neighborhood here. The amenities are wonderful, 5 minutes walking distance to Yew Tee MRT, eateries or eating places, food courts, wet markets, and supermarkets. There are schools nearby. There are 2 shopping centers nearby MRT, i.e. Yew Tee Shopping Mall, and Yew Tee Square. PCN is just right behind the Windermere, it's all the way to Bukit Panjang, and you can continue to the green corridor. There will be an upcoming Kampung Vertical in Yew Tee, and a new transformation of the Sungai Kadut Eco District (SKED). You need to check it out on the JTC website or Youtube, it's really really exciting! And last but not least, please check the URA or any property websites directly, you will be surprised that it's a very nice unit, the price is reasonable, and many people are searching units in Windermere. My personal opinion, Windermere is great property to buy and stay! Congratulations to those who have purchased units in Windermere, or those who are already staying here."
