CDL appoints AXA veteran Frank Khoo as Group CIO

On Jan 29, City Developments Limited (CDL) announced the appointment of Frank Khoo, 49, as group chief investment officer (CIO) starting from Feb 1.

Khoo was previously global head of Asia at AXA Investment Manager – Real Assets from September 2008 to November 2017, where he achieved total assets under management of $10 billion for Asian clients in Asia and Europe. Khoo has over 20 years of international experience in fund management, private equity, acquisition of real estate assets and the repositioning and restructuring of real estate businesses. He has an extensive network of investors, ranging from insurance companies, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and high net worth individuals across Asia and Europe.

Khoo will assist CDL group chief executive officer Sherman Kwek in establishing a dedicated fund management platform, as well as sourcing for and executing new investment opportunities.
