Frasers Hospitality launches its first property in Hamburg, Germany

Frasers Property Group’s Frasers Hospitality has launched its third property in Germany. Occupying the historic Oberfinanzdirektion in the prime area of Rödingsmarkt, Fraser Suites Hamburg is the serviced residence operator’s first property in the major port city.
Designed by renowned local architect, the late Albert Erbe, the building had previously housed the Hamburg tax authorities. Frasers Hospitality has preserved, restored and repurposed the building which now comprises 154 lavishly furnished rooms. Among these, a third are suites.

In particular, Frasers Hospitality ensured that key features of the building like the chandeliers and marble columns in the foyer were extensively restored.
“One of Frasers Hospitality’s key goals is to preserve [the] culture in each city it operates in, helping to regenerate the area while ensuring a responsible handling of a historic landmark like the Oberfinanzdirektion,” says Guus Bakker, CEO for Europe, Middle East and Africa, Frasers Hospitality.

In addition to its Hamburg property, Frasers Hospitality has preserved and restored Fraser Suites Le Claridge Champs-Elysées in Paris, as well as Fraser Suites Kensington and Queens Gate in London. It also operates refurbished heritage buildings for its Malmaison and Hotel du Vin brands.
Fraser Suites Hamburg brings Frasers Hospitality’s portfolio in Europe to more than 5,000 serviced apartments across 35 cities. It also operates two other properties in Germany under its Capri by Fraser brand in Frankfurt and Berlin.
