Freehold condos in the East for under $1,500 psf

Homes in Singapore’s East have gained popularity amongst growing families in recent years due to the revival of suburban localities, the establishment of new growth corridors and new MRT lines in the region.
For a start, residents in the East will soon have more MRT links to the city and to the northern parts of the island with the upcoming Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL).
In this article, we will zoom into freehold condos in the East Region that have transacted below $1,500 psf in 2018. Only condos that were completed from the year 2013 and are within walking distance to the nearest MRT station were considered in our analysis.
1. East Village - avg. transacted price $884 psf
East Village is a mixed-use development on Upper Changi Road and is located about 500m from Tanah Merah MRT station.
Completed in 2014, the freehold project features 108 strata shop units on the first level and 90 apartment units from the second to fourth floors. The commercial podium of East Village is anchored by a Cold Storage supermarket.
2. St Patrick’s Residences - avg. transacted price $1,305 psf
This medium-rise freehold project on St Patrick’s Road was completed in 2013 and comprises 102 units.
St Patrick’s Residences is located only about 100m from Marine Terrace MRT station, and is close to schools like St Patrick’s School and CHIJ Katong Convent.
