Freehold two-bedder condo units in Central Singapore for under $1 million

Properties located at the central are without a doubt, some of the most popular options for long-term buys in real estate. Besides greater connectivity, convenience and accessibility, properties in these locations offer stellar possibilities for capital gains and maybe even en bloc potential.
Meanwhile, the scarcity factor in land-hungry Singapore makes freehold properties an attractive asset class for many homebuyers.
In this article, we take a look at freehold units with at least two bedrooms in Central Singapore that are selling for under $1 million.
D12 - Kallang
Number of units: 212
Completed in 2012
Beacon Heights is a 28-storey project that is located in the Kallang area. It features full condominium facilities such as a 50m lap pool, a pool deck, Jacuzzi, landscaped pool, floating gym, clubhouse, observation deck, recreational terrace and tennis court.
Between November and December 2017, two two-bedder units on the 2nd and 6th floor respectively changed hands for $900,000 ($972 psf) and $978,000 ($1,056 psf). This freehold development near Kim Keat Road is a stone’s throw away from hawker centres in Whampoa Drive and is less than eight minutes’ walk away from Balestier Plaza.

VA Residences is a boutique residential apartment located on Boon Teck Road. It is a stone’s throw away from Shaw Plaza and is about seven minutes’ walk to Zhong Shan Mall. It is also less than 500m away from popular eateries such as Wheeler’s Yard and Founder Bak Kut Teh

One Dusun Residences is located on 1, Jalan Dusun along Balestier Road. It is about two minutes’ walk away to Balestier Hill Primary School and five minutes’ walk from Balestier Hill Shopping Centre. It is also close to Thomson Medical Centre, situated just 500m away.
