HDB launches single integrated public housing platform

SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - HDB has launched a one-stop portal that allows prospective buyers and sellers of public flats to gather all related information on the sale or purchase of a flat through a single platform.

Features on the portal, called the HDB Flat Portal, will be rolled out progressively starting Jan 13, said Minister for National Development Desmond Lee in a Facebook post.

The features include customised financial calculators for buyers to estimate their housing budget, and for sellers to estimate their sales proceeds. Buyers will also be able to look at loan listing services, where they can obtain information on housing loans offered by both HDB and participating financial institutions.

Information on current and upcoming new HDB flats will also be available for buyers to compare their housing options holistically.

In subsequent phases, HDB is planning to include resale flat listings on the portal.

“This new portal will make it more convenient for home buyers and sellers to gather information on the purchase or sale of a flat,” the minister says, revealing that the idea for the platform came after “a series of engagement sessions with industry players and stakeholders”.
