Holding strong, 12 HDB flats sold above $900K in July

HDB resale volume may have slipped marginally in July but the number of flats sold above $900K continued to hold up. A total of 12 HDB flats were resold above $900K in July following 50 such transactions recorded in 1H2015. Year to date, a total of 62 HDB flats resold $900K and above have been recorded, up more 4 times from the previous year. Where Executive and Jumbo flats made up the mass majority of such transactions in the past prior to 2014, 5-room flats have overtaken the position at 52% in 2014 and 55% to date in 2015. The top 3 towns with houses sold $900K or more are Bukit Merah (42 units, of which 34 units are from Pinnacle @ Duxton) followed by Bishan (eight executive apartments) and Queenstown (five 5-room flats).
