Huttons sets up auction and sales team, headed by property veteran James Wong

SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Huttons has set up an auction and sales team, to be headed by the newly appointed James Wong.

The setting up of an auction team today offers an additional avenue for clients to sell their properties in a transparent way,” says Mark Yip, chief executive officer of Huttons Group.

Wong has more than 20 years’ experience in the property sector. He was formerly the deputy director of Knight Frank’s auction and sales unit, and has worked in international property consultancies like Colliers.

“Mortgagee sales could pick up in 2022 as relief measures for borrowers end and interest rate rises. Owners have grown more receptive towards using auction to sell their properties over the years and will be our key target segment. We see a growing auction market in 2022 and beyond,” says Wong.
