M Social opens its first hotel in the United States

SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Millennium Hotels and Resorts has announced the opening of M Social Times Square New York, marking the hospitality brand’s first property in the United States. The 480-room hotel is located at 226 West 52nd Street and is walking distance to the city’s attractions such as Broadway, the Theater District, Central Park, and Fifth Avenue. The hotel rooms feature a contemporary design, and each room has views of Times Square, river views, or city views. Rooms will feature modern workspaces, Serta mattresses, streaming capable 4K smart TVs, among other conveniences.
The lifestyle hospitality offering features contemporary design that is inspired by the energy of New York’s Times Square. “We are thrilled to introduce the first North American location in New York and Times Square in particular, which exudes such a palpable energy,” says Kwek Leng Beng, executive chairman of Millennium & Copthorne Hotels.

The M Social brand was launched in Singapore in 2016 by Millennium & Copthorne Hotels. The new hotel is the third location for the brand with other properties in Singapore and Auckland, New Zealand.
M Social Times Square New York features a bar called Beast & Butterflies and it is perched above the street level with unobstructed views of the city. The bar is on a 7,500 sq ft wrap-around terrace adjacent to an indoor glass perch. The bar will serve a cocktail menu and light bites.
The hotel will also feature an eclectic art collection that pairs the property’s unique architecture. The lobby showcases a digital art installation comprising 32 screens that display a collection of digital art. A 600 sq ft lobby art wall features designs inspired by the property’s aesthetic and spatial design.
