'Strong sales' at Sinar Mas Land joint venture cluster housing project at BSD City, Greater Jakarta

SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Mitbana, a joint venture company of Mitsubishi Corporation and Surbana Jurong, and Sinar Mas Land have launched Welton, a landed cluster housing project at Hiera, a 108-ha mixed-use development in BSD City (formerly known as Bumi Serpong Damai), Greater Jakarta. "The first release of landed homes in Welton garnered strong sales, and the next phase will be released at the end of May," said the joint developers.
According to Theodore G. Thenoch, CEO of BSD Residential of Sinar Mas Land and vice president director of PT Sinar Mitbana Mas, BSD City is Sinar Mas Land's flagship project featuring township and transit-oriented developments. Welton is the first cluster-landed housing development in Hiera.

Developed on a 7-ha site, Welton has 291 units in three unit types - Type 7, Type 8, and Type 9. Homes at Welton are two- to three-storeys with a site area of 1,055 sq ft to 3.068 sq ft. Each unit has an efficient layout, three- to four-bedrooms, a multi-purpose room and two carports. Prices start from IDR 2.5 billion ($225,000).

The units feature an open living and dining area and central gathering spaces with views of nature. Large floor-to-ceiling windows ensure optimal sunlight and efficient airflow. Every unit features premium finishes, fittings, and smart home features such as smart lighting, voice command and digital door lock.
"The keen interest in Welton is a testament to market demand from buyers seeking a vibrant and integrated live-work-play environment outside of Jakarta city centre," commented Kenji Ono, president director of PT MC Urban Development Indonesia and president director of PT Sinar Mitbana Mas.
Construction of Welton has begun in phases, with completion expected in 2025.
