A new premium travel experience is taking shape at Changi Airport, as Changi Airport Group (CAG) redevelops its former Commercially Important Persons (CIP) terminal into a private terminal and amenities cluster linked to the existing Hub & Spoke node along the airport connector.
The project, located at the southern node of Terminal 2, will be jointly operated by CAG and Plaza Premium Group (PPG) when it opens in mid-2027.
PPG, which provides integrated airport hospitality and passenger service solutions, said in an April 20 media release that it operates the largest network of airport lounges worldwide.

From drop-off to departure, the experience is designed to be smooth, private and fully managed.
Designed for travellers seeking greater privacy and convenience, the private terminal will offer a fully managed journey from arrival to boarding.
Passengers can expect access to dedicated spaces to rest before their flight, alongside smooth transfers to boarding gates and convenient access to Changi’s retail offerings.
Facilities in the private terminal will include a deluxe lounge, bar, private suites and bespoke dining. A high-end versatile event space is also planned, catering to larger groups and private gatherings.
Ang Siew Min, senior vice president for airport operations development and services at CAG, said the upgraded private terminal is meant to respond to demand from travellers who want a personalised, premium experience — beyond “just a comfortable place to spend time before their flight”.
PPG’s chief transformation officer Song Mei Mei added that the airport hospitality firm aims to deliver “a consistently elevated end-to-end experience for premium travellers” at Changi Airport and offer “a new benchmark” in bespoke services.
